cancelling flogging workshop
We're canceling the intermediate flogging workshop- just not enough registrations to make it worthwhile. A class with Erika and I plus two stunt bottoms, teaching two or three people, seems kinda silly. ^-^ We've got time slots in March and May, I think we're doing Caning and either Verbal Play or another Basic Flogging but not sure.
It's interesting how sparsely-attended this workshop always is, compared to Basic Flogging or any of the others. My guess is that people are put off by the label 'intermediate', but I'm not sure what else to call it. I'm of the belief that 'advanced' is something you really need to learn for yourself, but we teach the framework to build from in this one. Maybe 'Building Blocks of Advanced Flogging, Nothing You Can't Handle?'

Tormenting Sadee

People either love or hate this shoot. It's one of the half-dozen or so we launched the old membership site with- Lauren didn't care for it, I liked it, a couple of our beta testers liked it a _lot_. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to shoot with Sadee again until pretty recently. Sadee was petrified of the video camera thus was kind of quiet, but we had good chemistry and did a bunch of fun stuff. We also had a nice D/s dynamic, similar to our more recent shoot.
The scene is kind of two parts- the first is about what you'd expect from me, a pretty girl, and a concrete wall to work off of. Manhandling, flogging, a fair bit of flogging her tits with some horsehair, etc... The second part was prompted by it being really hot in there- small basement, summertime, hot lights. I had some chain I'd put in the freezer at the start of the shoot that I pulled out and tormented her with- pressing it against her various sensitive bits, some interesting impact, and eventually creating a body harness once it had warmed up a bit.
This was a while ago, I had to go back and re-watch the video to remember what the heck we did. I'd forgotten that I spent so much time as I did hitting her cunt with the chain, that was pretty hot. Half-inch chain has some good thud to it even if you swing it VERY VERY GENTLY. (If you try something like this make sure the chain isn't too cold- think of what happens when you lick a flagpole. Also, be mindful of the chain pinching. ^-^)
For some reason Sadee and I hit a really good Dominant/submissive dynamic that presents itself well on-camera, moreso than my other shoots I think. Partly that might be because I'm much more sadistic than dominant, but also it seems like the play partners I end up shooting with are more on the bratty side *coughlucycough* and tough to find that with in the short time we spend in front of the camera. Anyway, Sadee brings it out and I'm happy to be able to share that bit of what we do.

intermediate flogging workshop
One of my other partners and I teach a series of workshops on various SM skills here in Seattle- 'Intermediate Flogging' is coming up next weekend. The focus is on scene building, along with a few more advanced technical skills. The beginning class we work on a lot of basic skills, this one is more about how to turn those skills and some new ones into a really good scene.

Provoking Ktty

Naked mohawked girl, angle grinder, and duct tape! Yeah, it's kind of a specialty scene, but those are all things I kink on, so we had fun with it.
The first time we shot with Ktty (a shoot we haven't posted yet), we had a very good but very quiet time. She tends to go a bit stoic when the camera is turned towards her. This time, I resolved, I'd get her to make some noise--even if it meant pulling out the power tools. Even then, this tough little cookie didn't crumble much, but I did get some nice, vehement cursing as the duct tape was coming off!
This was a tough shoot in many ways. First off, we had WAY more than the standard amount of Obstinancy of Inanimate Objects. From broken toys to unbroken-but-improperly-functioning tools to structural integrity issues involving a bag of ice, Murphy's law was in full effect. (It made for some endlessly hilarious outtakes, though!)
Ktty struggled with core temperature issues from the ice play early on, and never did really warm up, despite hot studio lights, my best efforts and a whole lotta sparks. :) That threw the timing of the scene off, but in the end I think we came through with some sexy, perverted play. You know that you've always wanted to see power tools used in porn...
We started off with me divesting Ktty of a very sexy, very naughty corset. She looked incredible and kinda Amazonian in it, but I wanted her to be able to breathe and to have some skin available for knifeplay! Once that was set aside, I put her in some simple duct tape bondage. It was easy to put on, but as you might imagine, taking it off was another matter...
I tormented her a bit with a toy that Russell and I fondly refer to as the "Poky Zappy Thing" (it appears in a number of our shoots, but if you want to see it used very *ahem* thoroughly, check out the shoots with Claire Adams and London).
Afterwards, we moved on to the aforementioned ice play. That left Ktty shivering, goosebumped, and extremely sensitive to sensation--the perfect state in which to receive a shower of sparks from the angle grinder! With one light turned out, and both of us goggled for safety, we proceeded to give a whole new meaning to the idea of sparks flying between two people.
Removing the duct tape, even over the carefully-baby-oiled skin, definitely got a rise out of my bound girl. Such a rise, in fact, that we decided to do it again. Ktty was still having a tough time with the chill of the studio, so we decided to finish up the scene. I applied even more generous amounts of oil to her bare skin, and then poured hot water over her scalp and down her body...both to warm her up and just to have the pleasure of the aesthetic. *g*
We wound things up by wrapping her in tape, and then pulling it off in as mean a fashion as I could manage - and while conducting the exit interview. I've got to say that I really enjoyed some of the more creative cursing...
This shoot was less kinetic than most of what we do, and I think for that reason the stills capture it better than the video does. The outtakes are some of the funniest we've caught on camera yet, however.

Pirate vs. Ninja

Here's something a bit different from our usual fare! A couple of years ago, a local alternative press paper called The Stranger decided to run an amateur porn contest. We thought that it would be good promo, a great sex-positive cause, and most importantly, a lot of fun, so we entered it.
We knew that we wouldn't be targeting a specifically BDSM-friendly audience, so we wanted to keep things on the light-hearted side, but without sacrificing the things that would make it hot for us. We tossed around a couple of ideas (some of which may yet make it into future contests) before we decided to tackle the age-old battle between pirates and ninjas.
My girlfriend Maxx was cast as the strong, silent ninja type, and I took on the role of her natural enemy, the swashbuckling pirate. The "booty" was fetchingly portrayed by one of our lovely friends.
The whole experience was a blast from beginning to end. As off-camera primary partners, Maxx and I have some pretty intense chemistry. I have to admit that I completely forgot that the camera was rolling during our sex scene! This shoot also contained my very first porn-incurred injury (a sprained ankle during one of the fencing bits), some great lines both on-camera ("You're not bad-lookin'--for a ninja!") and off ("I'm not wearing anything under my gi."), and some entertaining outtakes (watch the credits).
The screening festival for the finalists was also highly entertaining--and a bit embarrassing. It's one thing to shoot porn, but it's another to see yourself 8 ft. tall and having sex while 200 other folks watch beside you!
This may be the only time you'll see glimpses of the "bottom" half of my switchy identity on camera. I have to say that being katana-fucked by a ninja on the big screen was a life goal that I didn't even know that I had until it was met. *g*

Testing Claire Adams

I've joined more than one web site in the past just to look at naughty pictures of Claire Adams. So when she moved in with the House of Gord folks a couple years ago, I was really excited to get to meet her (my day job is making their computers behave). They live a ferry ride away though, so I didn't really get to hang with her much. She moved away to LA before we started doing Two Big Meanies, but eventually she came back to visit! We got to shoot, had a great time, and Lauren and I are so going to be fighting over who gets to play with her next time she's up here. ^-^
We did sort of a two-and-a-half part scene. The 'half' was us just warming up roughhousing around a bit. Claire's a contortionist, so wrestling her was interesting... The middle part of the scene was very simple endurance play- her alternating between standing with her arms out to her side, and doing pushups, while I 'helped' (I somehow gather pushups are more difficult with a TENS unit holding the sole of your foot in a cramp). The last part of the scene was me doing some _mean_ things to her with electricity, starting with her toes zip-tied to the fence back behind her head...
I think the endurance play edited down very nicely- obviously we don't want to show the whole thing ("here we are waiting for her muscles to get tired"), but there ended up being plenty of interplay to keep it interesting. What we set up, more or less, was that she'd hold her arms out to her side, until she wanted a break which she could get by doing ten pushups, after which she'd go back to holding her arms out. I'd do really painful things to her feet to keep her motivated during the pushups (I'm not a foot fetishist, but that ended up being the theme somehow)- mostly TENS unit and pokey-zappy-thing, with some impact play. I also had fun experimenting with pushing her arms up or down, and punishing her if they got too far from 90 degrees. We did this for quite a long time, she was thoroughly exhausted by the time we were finished- it edited down to around twenty minutes but went on a lot longer.
The assorted electrical play in the second part is probably some of the most intense fear and pain play we've had on the site. She's tough and we connected well, we took that and ran with it. We started out with her lying on her back, with her legs stretched up and apart over her head and behind her, and I used zipties to fasten her toes to some chainlink fencing attached to the wall. She then recited 'this little piggy' while I shocked each of her toes with the pokey-zappy-thing (like an electric flyswatter, but meaner). Eventually I moved down the backs of her legs, and took advantage of her spread-open pose with it. One of the advantages that toy has over the flyswatter (besides being able to reach into small sensitive places), is that you use it a couple different ways. If you charge it up, then touch it to someone's skin, the electricity arcs across, making a nice painful POP. If you touch it to someone's skin, _then_ charge it, it more directly triggers the muscle. You'll understand why these are so handy if you watch the video; there's a fair amount of screaming and tears involved.
I slid the electrified speculum into her while she was still spread and attached to the wall, but had her stand up before we started doing anything with it. The idea I started with was to have her walk and try to hold it in while I used it to shock her, but she had no challenge at all keeping it in with just muscle tension. So change of plans, just her and I playing with anticipation and pain. One of my favorite parts of the video is in here, it's fairly subtle and perhaps easy to miss in with all the other flashy stuff. It's an extended closeup of her mascara-streaked face, starting with her nodding at me to go ahead and turn it up again, gradually shifting as she struggles with it more and more, then screaming, then a wonderful Moment with her holding my hand against her chest as I turn it down. We pushed hard in the last third of this shoot. It might look scary but we were both _really_ good to go, Claire had a great time. We actually played even a bit harder than what's on the video and could have gone further, but I knew we weren't going to be able to use the footage. :/ I'm hoping we'll get a chance to play off-camera next time she's up, in addition to more shoots!
She also gave us a very good exit interview talking about her experience of the scene- we do this with pretty much all our shoots, but some stand out (Candy's another one). Claire is smart, articulate, enjoys and thinks about what she does, and I felt really fortunate to have the opportunity to play with her.

Dungeons and Dreina

Playing with Dreina is always a great pleasure for me. I had a nice big chart that helped make it look as though I wasn't just making up the rules as I went along. I was, of course, but the chart made it seem like everything was above board. We started off with a pre-scene interview and a review of the rules** of the game.
I did actually have one "hard and fast" game rule: that anytime Dreina made a smart ass comment, I was going to paddle her mercilessly. If you've seen any of the shoots that we've done with her previously, you'll know that this was akin to telling her that she was going to be in trouble every time she inhaled.
Once I had her firmly attached to the ceiling, I gave her a taste of a few of the different implements so that she would know what the stakes were - no, that's a lie. I just like swatting her.
The first implement that came up was the paddle, a toy that Dreina is intimately familiar with. The thin synthetic cane that followed it was a new sensation for her, though! This went on for quite a bit--she'd roll the dice, I'd change them to whatever number suited me, she'd complain, I'd paddle her for complaining, and then I'd swat her nice and hard with a cane, paddle, flogger, or my hands.
Earlier in the shoot, Dreina had promised me that she would give me anything I wanted in exchange for refraining from I-don't-remember-what-dastardly-act. I decided that what I really wanted "anything" to consist of was tethering down one ankle and then slapping her cunt a bunch. I knew that it would be tough for her to process--all the impact we did there had been--but I also knew that she could do it and that seeing her struggle would be extra-hot.
We finished up with something satisfying for me (chasing her with the aforementioned zappy thing) and something satisfying for her (spinning around while being flogged with horsehair, kind of automatic-carwash-style). We were both too done in by then to wind things up to a dramatic climax (or any kind of climax, really; I guess we'll save the big vibrator for the next shoot), but we ended with smiles and laughter and with both of us wanting to play again, which is even better in my book.

It was gawdawful hot when we shot this, and I wasn't looking forward to wrestling around in front of all the hot lights. We came up with a good plan, though- a whole scene built almost entirely around ice and water. We started with my usual roughhousing against the wall (plus the first time we used the pokey-zappy-thing!), but once she was thoroughly soaked switched to hard impact play and penetration with a big camo-colored cock, combined in various ways with cold water, hot water, and a couple hundred pounds of cold ice.
This was the first time Rose Algren and I had played together, so the initial smacking-her-around-against-a-wall bit of the scene was important for us both to get a feel for each other. Rose looks pretty femme, but she's tough in my favorite way- she likes to push hard. You can also hit her nice and hard (no idea how long those bruises on her thighs lasted), but the fun part for me is someone who'll let you take them to tears and stay right there with you. Rose also bounces back really fast, which is entertaining- you can do something that hurts so much she'll be in tears, but give her a few seconds to recover and she'll be giggling and asking you to do it again. As we've gotten to know each other I've figured out more of how she works, but that first bit of our first scene is hot to watch.
We did a lot of different stuff over the course of this shoot, even edited down pretty aggressively it's long. Trying to motivate her to let me use the pokey-zappy-thing on her crotch was fun. I used a metal ruler for this, and came back to it periodically- slapping her pubic mound with it left some pretty marks. Spanking her breasts with it as we were working toward the end of the scene, I was tapping pretty lightly until she said "you should really hit me with that thing." You'll be amused by what she did immediately afterwards, of course... :/
We did a bunch of wrestling around with me trying to apply blocks of ice to various portions of her anatomy, holding her down in the ice while drenching her with hot and/or cold water, and that worked great. Fucking her while she was on hands and knees over the ice didn't work super well, but using a light foam bat to beat the base of the dildo later went swimmingly.
One tricky thing about all the water and ice play was that our only location for it at the time was the shower at the Wet Spot. This meant that Rose and I were crammed in to a smallish room, along with lights and three camera people. This was actually quite challenging but I think we pulled it off. Working in three dimensions made it- Maxx was running one video camera from the top of a ladder in one corner, Red was running the other tucked low in to a different corner, Kurt was running around taking stills and trying to stay out of everyone's way (although he did catch his camera strap on one of the shower handles as he was creeping under it, leading to an inadvertent shower). I'm not even sure how Maxx managed to survive up near the ceiling with the lights going...

One of my other partners and I teach various workshops on BDSM skills here in Seattle, one of my favorites is coming up this weekend. We've been teaching this particular class maybe twice a year since at least 2000, and it's really fun to teach because there's such a visible difference between people coming in and going out. It's a lot of work, but much easier to feel accomplished afterwards compared to, say, the verbal play workshop where the skills change is less physically apparent.

Flogging Workshop! Ever wanted to learn how to flog someone in a way that is safe and fun? Ever tried but thought that there might be some basic skills that would help improve your scenes? Great! We can help!
Flirts Inc. will be offering an afternoon workshop with Russell H. and Erika G. teaching basic flogging skills. We'll touch on some basic SM skills and safety, talk about and demonstrate basic flogging technique, and help everyone practice the basic building blocks of flogging.A big part of the learning experience will be practicing. This will give you something to take with you and use at home or at a fetish party afterwards! The way this will happen is we'll have everyone pair off, and one person will act as a 'practice dummy', wearing heavy clothing for protection (leather jackets are great!), while the other person practices what they've just been taught. The partners will then switch off, and after a bit we'll move on to something else. This is not in any way 'playing'. The person being a practice target is there to provide a protected back to practice on, possibly with some feedback about where the tails of the flogger are landing. It is not a scene, so this will be a safe place to learn some skills without having to worry about impressing anyone.
This workshop is open to people of all genders and sexual orientations. No undressing will be required, and the pairing off for practice should be casual and friendly. We would ask that everyone bring some piece of heavy clothing to wear for protection during the practice portion (again, leather jackets are perfect). If you have a flogger of some sort, we would ask that you bring that as well to use in practice. (We'll bring a couple extra, but practicing with your own is best, and our collections are limited.) Be aware that this can be real exercise, starting out appropriately fed and hydrated will improve your experience.
